racing gets a big pick up this weekend as most of the real Breeders Cup preps go this weekend. do like some simulcast plays and will post them at the end of the thread.
r1: cookin carol. bonde firster gives up seasoning in this short field, but bonde can get 'em ready to win early and this field is empty.
r4: katdogawn. i'm playing against good student, whom i was all over in her last two turf tries. i think she has a huge, huge future and perhaps she shows it today, so i'll have a saver on her. that said, i'm after katdogawn, who rallied nicely behind a slow pace in the palomar last out at del mar.
r9: splendied blended. this one was the worst kept secret at del mar when she was hammered down to favoritism in her first start, and going a route on dirt, no less. this looks like a two horse race with sweet catomine who ran a better race than the figs give her credit for.
r10: silent lure. going to take a flyer with this gelded son of joyeux danseur, who will probably want a distance and turf, but is drawn outside and has shown some speed in the morning. we'll know two jumps out of the gate whether this one is live.
Belmont Race 4: San Telmo. always followed this horse who has underachieved in his less than stellar career. no matter, showed some grit in his last and now goes turf to dirt over a track he clearly likes.
r8: speightstown. this is the best sprinter in the land and while the draw sucks and price will be light, he's better than cajun beat, he's better than watchem smokey and he's better than pico central.
r11: megatrend. love horses who finally figure things out and put it together to win a race. this is a very weak nwx1, and this new york bred son of dixie brass may be able to handle these in his first try against winner.
good luck.
